Whattaplace
A platform for finding, hosting and booking spaces. I build the booking system end to end, and Space Finder, an AI agent that finds a space and drafts the request.

The problem
Booking a space is a conversation: a request, a host approval, availability, a price, a payment, an invoice. Whattaplace had to run all of it for guests, hosts, resellers and aggregators.
The idea
Model the booking as one workflow that every role sees from its own side, then put an agent on top of it so a guest can simply ask for what they need.
What I built
- Space booking workflows with Next.js, TypeScript, Prisma and PostgreSQL: requests, approvals, availability checks, pricing and role-based access.
- Razorpay payments for bookings and event tickets, with webhook-driven confirmations and invoices for reseller and aggregator flows, including GST, TDS and TCS.
- Admin and host dashboards for listings, pricing, availability, bookings and onboarding. Migrated the platform data from Framer to Supabase.
- Space Finder, built on the OpenAI Agents SDK with streamed responses: it searches, checks availability, estimates cost and drafts booking requests. Semantic search runs on OpenAI embeddings and pgvector.
- Booking chat on Stream Chat with unread notifications and reminder emails. Unread counts are batched and cached, so one bulk request replaced one request per booking.

Where it is now
In production at whattaplace.com, where I work on it every day.
